Orb BR Software Gives PS3, Blu-ray Players 1080p Streaming for $20

Orb Networks announced new software for Blu-ray and PlayStation 3 players that allows you to watch online TV shows from Hulu, HuluPlus, Comedy Central and more on your home TV. The new Orb BR software works with an Internet-connected Blu-ray player, and can be controlled through a smartphone app (iPhone, Android, iPad, iPod Touch) or on any computer.

Priced at $19.99, all you have to do to set up Orb BR is insert the Orb BR software CD into your Internet-connected Blu-ray player (wired or wireless) or PS3, download the free Orb Caster software to your PC or Mac, and then download the free Orb controller app to your smartphone.

Once set up, you'll be able to access content from Hulu, HuluPlus, Comedy Central, YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Video on Demand at 720p or 1080p resolution. Finding programming is easy too. The Orb controller app features a global index of TV shows with search functionality – allowing you to search for shows even if you don't know the source.

Orb BR availability is planned for late February, and can be ordered online at orb.com for $19.99.
