Vizio Unveils 65-inch, $3500 3D TV
Vizio on Friday announced their new 65-inch Theater 3D Edge Lit Razor LED LCD HDTV (model XVT3D650SV ) featuring the company's new Theater 3D technology. Theater 3D technology produces flicker-free 3D images, allowing you to view 3D content using passive 3D glasses which are said cause less eyestrain than active shutter glasses. They're battery-free and more affordable too. Vizio packs in four pairs of 3D glasses with this TV, which also happens to be Vizio's largest HDTV to date.
The new LED-backlit XVT3D650SV has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and features 1080p HD with a 120Hz refresh rate. Built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi gives you access to VIZIO Internet Apps including Amazon Video On Demand, Facebook, Netflix, Pandora, Twitter, and VUDU (to name a few).
The XVT also features SRS TruSurround HD using the TVs two speakers, along with SRS TruVolume which maintains a consistent volume level. It includes five HDMI ports and a Bluetooth Universal Remote with slide-out QWERTY keypad as well.
The 65-inch Vizio XVT3D650SV will be available this month at Costco and Sam's Club stores for $3,499.99. It is currently listed on www.VIZIO.com for $3700.

VIZIO Fantasy...
Behold, the Great Behemoth that haunts my dreams!!! Alas, long will be the days before I'll be able to display this massive monster on my wall for all the world to see. Ahab's beasty was rarely so exciting nor ever seemed quite so completely perfect for the pursuit!
BEST 3D LED LCD TV
I just picked up the last one from the Costco for $2999.00 plus tax $3,149. They had $500 instant rebate. I checked all costco in Washington, D.C. Metro area and all sold out.
Each store had 15 units and they were gone in 2 weeks.
I came home and set it up easly. I used new 1.4 version HDMI cable with ethernet built in for 3D competiblity. 1.3 HDMI cable is not recommended for 3D TV (You can use it but when watching in 3D mode you will loose some line signal).
The setup was very easy and the picture quality blew me off the sofa. The HD 1080i and the same 720P (no 1080p broadcast exist so far in U.S. so 1080 i for interaced- one line read and 720 p for progressive multiline scan read are actually about the same). I turned on to the GOLF HD channel and fell into love immediately. The TV swiching channel speed is very fast and the bluethooth remote is superb. Internet works fast with wifi setup.
I compared it with the best samsung TV and I will give +2 for this VIZIO 3D LED LCD 65 inch 3D HDTV.
Quality of Picture: about the same as SAMSUNG 55 3D LED HDTV. (VIZIO gets +1)
Price: $2500 cheaper than Samsung 65 inch 3D HDTV (VIZIO gets +1)
Overall design: Clean and flawless and well balanced.
Speed of the channel switching: A+++ (depends on your carrier, I have cox cable and it does great job with HD DVR box).
I own it and this is my experience with Vizio 3D HDTV LED LCD 65 inch. (I'm a Samsung TV fan but VIZIO just pulled the fast one on Samsung. Why? Because VIZIO is the only company came up with 65 inch 3D passive theater picture not like the other Active 3D TV Samsung, LG, Sony.
3D active TV uses expensive 3D glasses (battery in it so it is heavy). Also the picture flicks and makes your eye get tire quicker.
3D passive TV is the same as you watch 3D movie in your movie theater. That means you wear $7 3D glasses (The same black one you wore when watching AVATAR 3D).
And make your eyes less tire for extended time viewing.
My final answer is: I am very happy and made a great choice. Oh by the way, if you use the American Express Card to purchase TV from the Costco, they will give you free 3 year warranty instead of 2 years for people paying with cash or checks.
