Lexmark's New Genesis AIO Touts Flash Scan Technology, Twitter and Facebook Apps
This is a printer unlike any I've seen before. Just announced today, the Lexmark Genesis is one nice looking machine! This all-in-one stands upright, has a color touchscreen, is web-connected and includes apps like Evernote, TripIt and Box.net, along with Twitter and Facebook apps.
The Lexmark Genesis features Flash Scan camera technology, which boasts a 10-megapixel sensor for an instant preview on the 4.3-inch color touchscreen. Flash Scan technology also aids in fast scanning speeds, turning "document to digital" in as little as three seconds.
The 4.3-inch color touchscreen is where you will find access Lexmark's SmartSolutions, apps including Stamps.com, Evernote, Box.net and TripIt. Lexmark also announced today the Twitter and Facebook SmartSolutions. These apps will let you view and even search your Twitter feeds, view your Facebook walls and print photos right from the device. Twitter is currently available for download. Facebook will be available next month.
Additional features include Wireless-N (IEEE 802.11n), built-in two-sided printing, and 3-year warranty with lifetime phone support. Lexmark Genesis will be available in early 2011 for $399.

Just announced today along with Lexmark Genesis are the Twitter and Facebook SmartSolutions. These SmartSolutions will enable users to scroll through and search their Twitter feeds as well as view their Facebook walls and print photos right from the device. Twitter is currently available for download. Facebook will be available next month. The Lexmark Genesis also features the company’s Vizix print technology, which uses separate ink cartridges to enable greater speed and produces high quality print output at an economical replacement cost for customers.

Lexmark Genesis ($399) will be available early next year online and in stores across the U.S. and Canada.
