Epson Intros New VS200 Business Projector for Under $450

Epson today announced a new projector in its VS-series, the VS200. Aimed at small businesses, this affordable projector provides SVGA resolution, 2,300 lumens of color and white light output, and is priced at just $429.

Easy-to-use features include USB Plug 'n Play instant setup, Instant On/Off, and an A/V Mute Slide that turns off the sound/images to pause the presentation, which in turn, saves lamp life and energy.

Windows and Mac compatible, the VS200 touts a lamp life of up to 5,000 hours (in economy mode), thanks to Epson's E-TORL lamp technology. The Epson VS200 will be available in October 2010.

And leveraging the latest 3LCD, 3-chip technology, the Epson VS200 delivers amazing, true-to-life color and detail for powerful presentations. 3LCD technology provides an energy efficient light engine which creates stunning images, and in contrast to 1-chip DLP technology, 3LCD requires, on average, 25 percent less electricity per lumen of brightness.

The Epson VS200 offers quick and convenient control features, including Instant On/Off which enables presenters to avoid delays by instantly powering on and off the projector with no cool down time, and Direct Power On and Off allows an installed projector to be powered with a wall switch.
