Nikon Adds Three Cameras to COOLPIX Line – P7000, S80 and S8100
Nikon on Wednesday announced three new COOLPIX digital cameras, the P7000, S80 and S8100.
The COOLPIX P700 was made with the photo enthusiast in mind, with features including full manual controls, RAW / NRW capability, 7.1x, 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 NIKKKOR lens and ISO sensitivity from ISO 100 to 6400 (expandable to ISO 12,800 in low noise Night Mode). This 10.1 megapixel camera also has a 3-inch LCD screen and records HD video at 720p at 24 fps with optical zoom and autofocus control.
The Nikon COOLPIX P7000 will be available in late September 2010 for $499.95.
The user-friendly (and super-thin at just 0.7-inches) COOLPIX S80 sports a 3.5-inch OLED touch screen with a new user interface, 14.1 megapixels, 5.1x NIKKOR zoom lens, 5-Way VR Image Stabilization System, and has ISO settings up to 6400. It also records 720p HD video with optical zoom and stereo sound and has 17 scene modes and the Easy Auto Mode.
The COOLPIX S80 will be available in fall 2010 for $329.95 in a choice of six colors (red, black, blue, pink, gold and silver/brown).
The last of Nikon's new COOLPIX digital cams is the S8100. This pocket camera features a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, 3.0-inch Clear Color Display, 10x Optical Zoom-NIKKOR ED lens, 4-Way VR Image Stabilization System and ISO settings up to 3200. It can shoot five full resolution frames at 10 fps and records 1080p HD video with stereo sound.
The COOLPIX S8100 will be available late September 2010 for $299.95 in black, red and gold.
