Sonos Controller for iPad Delayed
When Sonos releases a product, whether it is a full-fledged music system such as the S5 or one of their popular applications, Sonos believes it should be right the moment it is released. Less than perfect just won't do. Hence the statement we received from Sonos this morning regarding the Sonos Controller for iPad:
"Delivering the highest quality products that exceed our customers' expectations has always been our mission at Sonos. Nothing less will do. Which is why we are postponing the shipment of our new Sonos Controller for iPad app until the end of September. We're disappointed, but know that the result will be worth the wait. In the meantime, customers can continue to use the Sonos Controller for iPhone app on their iPad."
The Sonos Controller for iPad will allow you to control your music all over the home via your iPad when used with Sonos ZonePlayers. You will be able to view and control your music in either landscape or portrait mode; search for your favorite artists by typing on a virtual keyboard; browse albums by pointing and flicking and then just drag and drop to add to your queue. It will also have a multi-pane view, allowing you to see what's playing in every room, complete with album art.
