Canon Rolls Out Three New Digital Cameras

 Canon PowerShot S95

Canon this week announced three new digital cameras - the PowerShot S95, SD4500 IS and the SX130 IS.

Canon's PowerShot S95, an update to the S90, comes packed with a 10-megapixel CCD sensor, DIGIC 4 image processing, 3.8x optical zoom, an f/2.0 lens that opens up to 28mm wide, and features optical image stabilization. It has a manual control ring on the front of the camera, records video at 720p, and is the first PowerShot to feature Hybrid IS image stabilization. The S95 also includes Canon's HS System for shooting in low light conditions. It will be available in late August 2010 for $399.99.

 Canon Power SD4500 IS

The new Power SD4500 IS is also a 10-megapixel digital cam, but this one boasts a CMOS sensor. It has a 10x optical zoom with optical image stabilization, a high-speed burst mode of up to 8.4 fps, and includes a full 1080p HD video mode - a first for a digital ELPH model. The camera can also shoot in Dynamic IS mode, which helps stabilize video capture while the shooter is in motion. A Super Slow Motion video mode captures a subject at 240fps. This model also includes Canon's HS System for low light shooting. The SD4500 IS camera is scheduled to be available in early September for $349.99.

 Canon SX130 IS

The least expensive of the bunch, the SX130 IS, is Canon's latest ultra-zoom digital camera. It offers a 12.1 megapixel CMOS, 3.0-inch LCD, 12x optical zoom lens with optical image stabilization, and shoots 720p HD video with stereo sound. It has four creative modes- Miniature, Fisheye, Poster, and Super Vivid, and is the first model in its series to offer the four modes. Scheduled to be available late August, the SX130 IS camera retails for $249.99.
