Panasonic Adds DMP-BDT100 to 3D Blu-ray Lineup
Another 3D Blu-ray player is being added to Panasonic's lineup later this month, the DMP-BDT100. This player outputs full HD 3D as well as upconverts standard definition DVDs to 1080p.
Pricing has not yet been announced on this model, but we're guessing it will be the least expensive in the lineup because of its lack of wireless networking. You can stream right out of the box if you have wired Ethernet close to your home theater setup, but if not, you'll need Panasonic's Wireless LAN Adaptor (model DY-WL10) in order to stream Netflix, Amazon VOD, Pandora, Twitter, YouTube etc. wirelessly.
The BDT100 also features an SD card and USB slot, so you can view 2D JPEG images and movies (AVCHD/MPEG2) on your TV from digital cameras and camcorders, as well as 3D content shot by Panasonic's HDC-SDT750 camcorder.
Additional features include PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus, P4HD Enhanced Full HD Upsampling, a 96-kHz Re-master function, and Panasonic has improved the boot time to just 0.5-second.
