Samsung Intros Two New DualView Digital Cameras

 Samsung DualView ST600

Earlier this week we told you about the new digital camera offerings from both Panasonic and Fujifilm. So it's only fitting that we include the latest DualView cameras from Samsung. The new 14.2 megapixel ST600 and ST100 build off of the TL225 and TL220, with upgrades to their front LCD screens - they are now 1.8" (their predecessors were 1.5").

The Samsung DualView ST600 and ST100 both feature Schneider KREUZNACH lenses and have Optical and Digital Image Stabilization. The ST600 has a 27mm wide-angle focal length with a 5x optical zoom, while the ST100 is the first Samsung DualView digital camera with an internal 5x optical zoom. Both record HD movies at 720p.

Additional features include Samsung's Smart Auto scene recognition technology, a self-portrait mode, a couples mode which snaps a photo when it detects two faces tilted toward each other, a children's setting which plays a cartoon animation with sound, and a self-timer. A new jump shot mode provides a visual queue on the front LCD to those in front of the camera to jump in unison, and then the ST600 or ST100 takes three consecutive shots to catch subjects in mid-air. Both also feature Samsung's Smart Gesture User Interface.

The Samsung DualView ST600 will be available in September 2010 for $329.99. The ST100 will also hit stores in September for $349.99. Visit www.samsung.com for more info.
