Fujifilm Rolls Out New FinePix Digital Cameras
The camera folks have sure been busy lately. We just told you about Panasonic's five new LUMIX digital cameras, and now Fujifilm has announced new FinePix digital cams - the F300EXR, Z800EXR, S2800HD and JX280.
FinePix F300EXR
Measuring just 23 mm thick, Fujifilm's new FinePix F300EXR features a 12-megapixel EXR super CCD, 15x Fujinon Super Wide-Angle lens (24mm – 360mm equivalent) and has a 3.0" 460K LCD. The camera shoots HD video at 720p.
The F300EXR also has a Hybrid High Speed Auto Focus system which uses both Phase Detection AF and Contrast AF. The camera automatically selects the better focus system by measuring the amount of light or contrast in the scene, allowing for super-fast auto focus speeds.
Additional features include ISO settings up to 12,800, 360˚ panorama shooting, a new image stabilization system, face detection and recognition and HDMI output. It will be available in late August 2010 for $329.95.
FinePix Z800EXR
The new FinePix Z800EXR touts a 3.5" wide (16:9) LCD touch screen, 12-megapixel super CCD EXR sensor, a Fujinon 5x optical zoom lens (36-180mm equivalent) and ISO levels of up to 1600 at full resolution. The camera also uses the Hybrid High Speed Auto Focus system and captures HD video at 720p.
Additional features include Face Recognition as well as Pet Detection, 360˚ panorama shooting, Dual Direction GUI, Dual Image Display, and it has a Facebook/YouTube Automatic Upload feature.
The FinePix Z800EXR will be available in late August 2010 in matte black, red, gold or shell pink for $229.95.
FinePix S2800HD
Fujifilm also added a new camera to its S-Series line – The FinePix S2800HD. What the company calls "the world's smallest 18x zoom digital camera," it features a 14-megapixel 1/2.3" CCD, a Fujinon 18x Wide-Angle optical zoom (28mm-504mm equivalent) lens, a 3.0" LCD and electronic viewfinder. It captures movies in 720p HD and also has a Mini HDMI Port for connection to a home theater system.
The camera has ISO sensitivity to ISO 6400, full manual controls and includes features such as Motion Panorama Mode with Auto Stitch, Automatic Scene Recognition, Automatic Picture Rotation, a Motion Panorama Mode with Auto Stitch, Tracking Auto Focus and Smile / Blink Detection.
The FinePix S2800HD is available in early September 2010 for $259.95.
FinePix JX280
Last in the new FinePix lineup is the JX280. This ultra-compact digital cam measures in at a slim 18.5mm and features a 14-megapixel CCD, 2.7" LCD and has a Fujinon 5x wide angle (28mm-140mm) optical zoom lens. The camera also records HD movies in 720p.
Additional features include: Tracking Auto Focus, Motion Panorama Mode with Auto Stitch, Smile / Blink Detection, Digital Image Stabilization, Face Detection and Automatic Red-eye Removal.
The cheapest of the bunch, the FinePix JX280 will be available at the end of August 2010 for $149.95.
