Acer Unveils Four New Notebook PC Lines

Today, Acer launched four totally new lines of notebook PCs. The new Acer Aspire TimelineX, Acer Aspire 8943 Series, as well as two new lines of Aspire mainstream and Aspire entry-level notebook computers.

Great for those looking for an energy-efficient and longer lasting mobile PC, the new Aspire TimelineX Series touts an eight hour battery life. The series is available in four LED backlit display sizes - the 11.6-inch Aspire Timeline 1830T, 13.3-inch 3820T, 14-inch 4820T and the 15.6-inch 5820T. The TimelineX notebooks are less than one-inch thin and weigh from 3 to 5.5 pounds.

All TimelineX Series offer either Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processors, and 3GB or 4GB memory. The entire line of TimelineX notebooks comes packed with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Available now, the TimelineX Series starts at $599.99.

New models are now also available in Acer's top-of-the line multimedia notebook series, the Aspire AS8943G. Sporting a new design, the AS8943G notebook PCs feature a CineCrystal 18.4-inch LED back-lit display with 1080p resolution; Dolby optimized Acer CineSurround sound system with five built-in speakers and a subwoofer, as well as a Blu-ray drive.

The notebooks are powered by the Intel Core i7 Quad Core Processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology and offer either 4GB or 8GB of memory, and include ATI Mobility Radeon HD5850 Graphics with 1GB of dedicated video memory. Both models have 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel HD webcam, an eSATA port for large file transfers, and a FireWire port.

Prices of the Acer Aspire AS8943G-6190 and the Acer Aspire AS8943G-6782 start at $1,549.99.

For value conscious consumers comes the new Acer Aspire line. With prices starting a $429.99, the new Aspire notebooks include Intel or AMD processors, a choice of graphics solutions, ample memory, large hard drives and a choice of large 15.6- or 17.3-inch screen sizes.

Additional features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 1.3MP (1280 x 1024 resolution) webcam, built-in digital microphone, stereo speakers, an HDMI port, and several models include a Blu-ray Disc drive.

The new Aspire notebooks will be available later this month with prices ranging from $429.99 to $899.99.

Also new to the Acer line, and a step above the entry level models, are the new 15.6- inch Acer Aspire AS5745 and 17.3-inch AS7745 notebook computers. They include features like quad-core processing, four memory slots, second hard disk drive (HDD) support, branded discrete graphics, multi-touch screen technology, LED-backlit displays and/or Dolby Home Theater v3.

Featured models include the Aspire AS5745PG with multi-touch screen capability, Intel Core i7 power and discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics; and the Aspire AS7745G, outfitted with Intel Core i7, discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics, second HDD support and Blu-ray.

The new Acer Aspire AS5745 and AS7745 notebooks are available now with prices starting at $699.
