SIM2 Unveils New High-End Home Cinema Projectors

 C3X LUMIS UNO

SIM2 has been in the home theater business for almost 20 years and have always taken pride in its line of products designed to please the most discerning customer. Case in point: how many companies can say they are endorsed by film director Francis Ford Coppola? SIM2 can. The latest projectors are prime examples of the extraordinary performance, picture quality and functionality offered from SIM2 custom integration products. The company just added three new projectors in the MICO line; introduced the first DC4 three-chip DLP below $30,000; unveiled the first home cinema three-chip DLP HYPER-COLOR equipped model; and if that's not enough, SIM2 has a new dual-projector High Brightness 3D system.

First in the MICO series lineup is the MICO 50 model, boasting high-brightness and high-performance with the advantages of SIM2's PureLED technology for Home Cinema and Media/Living Room installations. Designed for use with large screen sizes (up to 10ft wide) the MICO 50 features BrilliantColor technology, DynamicBlack and EasyLED Software for professional calibration and control. The MICO 50 has an MSRP of $21,995.

The new MICO CONNECT 60 offers all the features of the MICO 50, but adds LAN and wireless connectivity. The MICO CONNECT 60 is loaded with installer-friendly features such as EasyLED Software for professional calibration and control and a newly-developed system that takes advantage of the benefits of Ethernet and wireless control capabilities, allowing seamless integration with today's modern home systems. The MICO 60 CONNECT has an MSRP of $23,995.

Last in the MICO lineup are the new MICO 50 ST and MICO 60 ST (Short Throw) models. They have the same key features as the MICO 50 and MICO CONNECT 60, with the advantage of an 0.67:1 lens, designed for use in rear-projection systems or anywhere an extreme short throw lens is desired. Bright, crisp images of up to 100 inches can be achieved within a depth of less than 4 feet. The MICO 50 ST has an MSRP of $22,950, with the MICO CONNECT 60 ST carrying a price tag of $24,995.

The Grand Cinema C3X LUMIS Series adds new compact three-chip DLP Home Cinema projectors; the C3X LUMIS UNO, C3X LUMIS HYPER-COLOR, and C3X LUMIS 3D.

The C3X LUMIS UNO projector features a trio of DC4 0.95-inch, 1080p DLP chipsets from Texas Instruments. This 'entry-point' model is the first three-chip 0.95 chipset model to be priced at less than $30,000. Designed for use with large screen sizes (up to 15ft wide) the UNO boasts 2000 ANSI Lumens and 9000:1 contrast ratio. The C3X LUMIS UNO starts at $29,999.

The C3X LUMIS HYPER-COLOR is a three-chip reference model, designed with a motorized color filter option, which allows for specified color standard requirements to be attained (e.g. DCI). This highly-specialized model is custom built to order, requiring a 30-day lead-time. Suitable for large screen sizes (up to 20ft wide), the C3X LUMIS HYPER-COLOR comes with the ground-breaking, 5-year lamp replacement warranty as standard. The C3X LUMIS HYPERCOLOR starts at $41,995.

The new C3X LUMIS 3D is designed for use in 3D theaters or high-end custom home cinemas. This projection duo uses Infitec 3D filter technology, has motorized 2D/3D filter selection and includes a mounting assembly with micrometric adjustment for accurate convergence. The SIM2 LUMIS 3D system does not require a silver screen material to operate correctly, allowing for optimum performance in 2D with normal content. Due to the high brightness of the units, the system can be set-up in redundancy mode for failsafe 2D entertainment. Four pairs of passive glasses are included. The C3X LUMIS 3D has an MSRP of $79,999 (lens options available).
