There are two things that are important when designing a home theater system - excellent sound quality and an eye-pleasing appearance. You get both with the latest loudspeakers from JBL. The new JBL Performance LS Series loudspeakers provide extraordinary sound quality, as well as curved contours, tapered wood side panels, and a beautiful high-gloss finish.

The LS Series line includes a compact bookshelf loudspeaker (the LS40); two floor-standing tower speakers (the LS60 and LS80); a subwoofer (the LS120) and a center-channel loudspeaker (the LS Center). The LS-Center is a dual 6½ inch center channel loudspeaker with a wide frequency response, powerful handling and high-frequency transducer. Perfect to use as a bookshelf speaker, the LS40 weighs in at 30 pounds and measures 19 ½ x 8 ¾ x 12 ½ inches. The LS40 is also the least expensive of the speakers at $699 per unit. The LS60 is a step up from the LS40 with a maximum recommended amplifier power range of 150 watts. Next up is the LS80, which is the highest performing, most powerful speaker of group, with the highest level of performance, range, and style on the market. Last but not least, features of the LS120 front-firing powered subwoofer include a 300mm (12") Low-frequency transducer and 400-Watts-RMS high-output amplifier.

"The JBL LS Series is the next logical step in our constant pursuit of engineering and sonic excellence," observes Kevin Voecks, Product Development Manager, Harman Performance AV Group. "With the LS Series, JBL is offering home entertainment systems designers and contractors a unique mixture of technology and esthetics, all at an incredibly affordable price point. Thanks to the wide diversity of its product categories, JBL can provide this audience a complete solution for home theater and home entertainment audio applications, and JBL speaker technology remains at the core of that capability."
