Remote Video Viewing on Your iPhone Thanks to VueZone

 VueZone iPhone App

Back in September we told you about the Vue personal video network, a wire-free video system that allows you to view video footage of your home, business, etc. from your computer. Now Avaak has made the system even more portable with the availability of the VueZone iPhone application, an app that lets you view live video from your iPhone, as well as record footage in your personal my.VueZone.com account to view later.

The Vue system is a network of small, battery-powered wireless cameras that stream real-time video directly to the Internet, viewable on most browsers. Additional features of the app include the ability to take snapshots from the remote cameras, which can then be saved directly to the iPhone handset; as well as an option to "View All", a feature that lets you watch all of your personal cameras at once.

Additional features:

  • The included "peel and stick" magnetic mounts allow the cameras to be installed in minutes and placed almost anywhere. They also provide the flexibility to move cameras from room-to-room
  • Capacity to add up to 50 cameras to the network
  • The ability to upload and share video or still images to popular social networking sites like YouTube and Flickr
  • Camera range of 300 feet range which can be extended with optional repeaters
  • Two gigabytes of online storage
  • One year battery life under normal use

The VueZone iPhone app is available for download from the iPhone App Store in the utilities app category. The Vue personal video network is available for purchase at Amazon.com or VueZone.com for $299. The system comes with two cameras. Additional cameras can be purchased separately for $99.
