Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 Touts 3 Year Battery Life

I love the freedom and the nice, neat look of a wireless keyboard and mouse. But one thing I have always disliked is the battery life on these devices. However, Logitech has a new wireless desktop keyboard/mouse combo that might be my next computer accessory purchase. The new Wireless Desktop MK710 is the first keyboard-and-mouse combo to have up to a three-year battery life for the keyboard and mouse, as well as the tiny Logitech Unifying receiver! You read that right…three years!

I know you're wondering how they made this possible. Logitech said that part of it is because of their Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless technology. It transmits information much faster than your typical 27 MHz wireless systems. Also, the amount of time the keyboard and mouse remain in active mode when left idle has been reduced.
