Fujifilm Announces 13 New FinePix Digital Cameras

Fujifilm today announced a slew of new FinePix digital cameras, and with 13 new models there is something for everyone – from the novice user, all the way to the serious photographer. They also announced several new Instax Instant film models and a brand new Medium Format Film camera. Here is a rundown of new products:

Digital Cameras:

FinePix AV100 & AX200

Designed for the novice digital camera user and those seeking an affordable, user-friendly upgrade to their current digital camera, the FinePix AV100 and AX200 digital cameras are perfect for the consumer on a budget.

Both cameras feature a 12-MegaPixel CCD sensor and a 2.7" High Resolution LCD, as well as HD Movie Capture, Automatic Scene Recognition, Face Detection and high ISO sensitivity levels of up to ISO3200. The FinePix AV100 features a Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens and the FinePix AX200 steps up with a Fujinon 5x Wide-Angle optical zoom lens. Both models come in a choice of black or silver.

Price: The AV100 will be $99.95 and the AX200 will be $109.95.

FinePix JV100, JX250, JZ300 & JZ500

The FinePix J-Series is for those who want an easy-to-use slim, compact digital camera with features designed to make taking great pictures as simple as can be.

The FinePix JV100, JX250, JZ300 and JZ500 range in price from $129.95 to $249.95 and are all HD movie capable.

The FinePix JV100 has a 12-MegaPixel CCD, a 2.7" High-Resolution LCD and a Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens. The FinePix JX250 employs a 14-Megapixel CCD, a 2.7" High-Resolution LCD and a Fujinon 5x wide angle (28mm-140mm) optical zoom lens. The FinePix JZ300 has a 12-MegaPixel CCD, a 2.7" High-Resolution LCD and steps up with a huge Fujinon 10x Wide-Angle optical zoom lens (28mm-280mm equivalent) and the FinePix JZ500 rounds out the series with a 14-Megapixel CCD, a 2.7" High-Resolution LCD and a Fujinon 10x Wide-Angle optical zoom Lens (28mm-280mm equivalent).

Price: The FinePix JV100, JX250, JZ300 and JZ500 will be $129.95, $159.95, $199.95 and $249.95 respectively.

FinePix Z70

The FinePix Z70 is the successor to the popular FinePix Z37. Features include one-touch movie capture HD, LED illuminated operation keys and tagging with automatic upload functions to YouTube and Facebook. The FinePix Z70 also boasts a 12-MegaPixel CCD sensor, a large 2.7" High Resolution LCD and a Fujinon 5x periscopic optical zoom lens (36mm-180mm equivalent) for added range and flexibility.

FinePix XP10

The new FinePix XP10 marks the first in a new category of super-tough, digital cameras that's waterproof, shockproof, freezeproof and dustproof. Housed in a metal uni-body chassis with a tactile grip finish, the XP10 sports a 12-MegaPixel CCD sensor, a 2.7" High-Contrast LCD for better viewing in bright sunlight, and a Fujinon 5x periscopic optical zoom lens with a reinforced protective lens barrier. The FinePix XP10 is only 21.7mm thin and comes in three colors - silver, black and green.

FinePix Z700EXR

The FinePix Z700EXR is the first in a new class of EXR touch screen digital cameras. It features a 3.5" Wide (16:9) High Resolution Touch Screen, a 12-MegaPixel Super CCD EXR sensor, a Fujinon 5x Periscopic optical zoom lens (36-180mm equivalent) and ISO levels of up to 1600 at full resolution.

Housed inside a full metal chassis, the FinePix Z700EXR is only 16.9 mm thin and features a smart horizontal lens cover with wave detail, which acts as the on/off switch and an LED "Z" that lights up when the camera is in operation. The FinePix Z700EXR will be available in a choice of black, red or silver.

FinePix F80EXR

The FinePix F80EXR is a compact digital camera combining intuitive use with the most advanced features available in a point-and-shoot, including Fujifilm's EXR technology. The FinePix F80EXR has a Fujinon 10x Wide-Angle optical zoom lens, a 12-MegaPixel Super CCD EXR sensor, a 3.0" High-Contrast LCD, Face Recognition, Pet Detection and HD movie capture at 720p.

Measuring 22.9 mm thick, the FinePix F80EXR will be available in black.

FinePix S1800 and FinePix S2500HD

Sporting massive 18x FUJINON optical zooms, the FinePix S1800 and FinePix S2500HD are two new additions to the FinePix S-Series super-zoom line.

Both cameras have a 12-MegaPixel 1/2.3" CCD, a Fujinon 18x Wide-Angle optical zoom (28mm-504mm equivalent) and an extra-large 3.0" High-Contrast LCD and electronic viewfinder. Other features include 720p HD Movie Capture, Dual Image Stabilization, Smile and Blink Detection, Tracking Auto Focus (S1800 only), and Auto Picture Rotation (S1800 only).

Price: The FinePix S1800 will be $229.95 and the FinePix S2500HD will be $249.95.
Availability: The FinePix S1800 is available in February 2010, and the FinePix S2500HD will be available in March 2010.

FinePix HS10

The FinePix HS10 is for serious photographers wanting the versatility and performance of a D-SLR system without the bulk or expense. Included in its large feature set is Triple Image Stabilization, a Fujinon 30x (24-720mm equivalent) manual optical zoom lens, full HD movie mode (1080p) with stereo sound, Combined RAW/JPEG shooting, high ISO sensitivities, as well as up to 10 frames-per-second of high-speed continuous shooting at the maximum 10-MegaPixel setting.
