Samsung Rolls Out New HZ Models, Two Ultra-Slim Digital Cameras and the SL630


 Samsung HZ35W

Samsung just rolled out a slew of new digital cameras, including two new HZ-Series high zoom point-and-shoot models, two new ultra-slim cameras, and added the SL630 to the popular SL-Series.

The new superzoom HZ35W and HZ30W digital cameras have 12-megapixels, wide-angle 24mm Schneider lenses (just like their predecessors, the HZ15W and HZ10W), but the new models up the optical zoom to 15x! Both models record video at a resolution of 720p / 30fps with H.264 compression and offer true HDMI connectivity. The HZ35W features a 3.0" AMOLED display and built-in GPS for automatic geo-tagging, while the HZ10W has a 3.0" TFT LCD display, without the GPS/geo-tagging feature.

Both models are expected out in March 2010. Pricing has not been announced.

 Samsung TL105

Samsung's two new ultra-slim digital cameras, the TL110 and TL105 are just 0.65 inches thin, perfect for on-the-go photography. The TL110 has 14.2 megapixels and a 5x optical zoom, with the TL105 sporting 12.2 megapixels and a 4x optical zoom. Each has a 2.7-inch LCD and records HD video at a resolution of 720p / 30fps, using H.264 compression.

The Samsung TL110 and TL105 are expected to be available next month. No pricing information was available.

 Samsung SL630

Samsung's latest edition to the SL-Series, the SL630 point-and-shoot digital camera boasts 12.2 megapixels, a 28mm wide-angle, 5x optical zoom lens, Dual Image Stabilization, and is packed with tons of automatic controls, including Smart Auto. Smart Auto analyzes the color, brightness, motion, and subject, and then selects the appropriate scene mode for you.

While the SL630 can't record video in HD, it does record standard definition video at a resolution of 640x480 and 30 frames-per-second. The SL630 is due out in March. No pricing info available.
