HP Pavilion HPE PCs: High Performance PCs at an Affordable Price

Numerous desktop PCs were announced at the recent 2010 CES trade show, but HP's new Pavilion Elite High Performance Edition (HPE) PCs were what caught our eye. Several new high performance edition models were announced at the show, with prices lower than you would expect for a high performance PC– they start at just $599 online. Retail models start at $809.

The new HP Pavilion HPE PC series is available with a choice of AMD Phenom II Quad-Core processors or future Intel Core processors, ATI Radeon or NVIDIA GeForce graphics and include Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, up to 2TB of hard drive capacity, up to 24GB DDR3 memory, a 15-in-1 memory card reader, SuperMulti DVD burner with LightScribe, Wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n networking, optional TV tuner, and optional pocket media drive and Blu-ray drives.

The HPE also includes HP MediaSmart software for watching TV, Blu-ray movies, sharing photos, and burning music and videos to DVDs.

The HP Pavilion Elite HPE series will be on retail shelves January 24, 2010 with prices starting at $809. The HP Pavilion Elite HPE is now available to order online at HP's store with prices starting at $599.
