Amazon One-Day Shipping
This whole "free one-day shipping" stunt is really too good to be true. Yes, you will have one-day shipping, but the Kindle will still not be delivered until after Christmas. The problem that I, and others I've talked to, have had is that the item doesn't actually become shipped until the 24th. Add in the Christmas holiday, the Saturday with typically no service, the Sunday off, and you will not get your Kindle until Monday the 28th. Overall, Amazon came through with one promise, but that last minute gift just became the too-late-for-Christmas present.
Amazon Free Shipping
Yes, the whole "free one-day shipping" WAS really too good to be true. Yes, you had one-day free Amazon shipping, but the Kindle was set for an after Christmas delivery. It wasn't shipped until the 24th and combine that with the Christmas holiday, the day after was a Saturday and Sunday no shipping service, and the Kindle did not actually arrive until Monday the 28th. I mean overall, Amazon came through with one promise, but that last minute gift just became the too-late-for-Christmas present.
