Give the Gift of Video with Panasonic's HD Camcorders
Most digital cameras on the market today can record video, but there are those of us that want a device made specifically for video. The HDC-SD10 and HDC-HS250 camcorders from Panasonic are great options for the video buff on your gift list this year, or as a gift to yourself.
Panasonic's HDC-SD10 is one of the world's lightest, HD camcorders, which uses an SDHC/SD Memory Card as recording media. The SD10 weighs only a 1/2 pound and has a compact body, making it easy to carry around. It also features a high-powered 16x optical zoom and can produce beautiful 1920 x 1080 Full-HD videos. The HDC-SD10 is available in black for $499.95.
Looking for a little bit more? The HDC-HS250 from Panasonic is a semi-professional HD camcorder with more advanced features such as a newly-developed 3MOS chip system as well as being Panasonic's first camcorder with touch-screen operation. Equipped with a large-aperture Leica Dicomar lens (filter diameter: 43 mm) and a 1/4.1-inch image sensor, the HS250 records still images with a 10.6-megapixel resolution and features an 8.3-megapixel resolution for still images when simultaneously recording with video.
The HS250 also has a luminance of 1.6 lx, for shooting video in very low-light conditions. This camcorder also has iA (Intelligent Auto) – which automatically selects the necessary modes to take the best shots/movies, with no settings needed. And last but certainly not least, the HS250 has an internal 120 GB HDD, which can store up to 50 hours of recording (in HE mode). It is available in black for $899.95.
