Pandigital Intros Two New PhotoLink Scanners

 Pandigital PhotoLink One-Touch 5x7 Scanner

Pandigital just added two new portable photo scanners to their PhotoLink line, the PhotoLink One-Touch 5x7 Scanner and PhotoLink Personal Photo Scanner.

Ready to go right out of the box is the new PhotoLink One-Touch 5x7 Scanner (PANSCN04). You can easily scan 5x7-inch (or smaller) prints onto a memory card or PC, with no software to install. The scanner supports SD, MS, MS Pro, MMS, and XD memory cards. A 512MB SD card is included. To use, just insert a photo into the feed area and push the button to start. The result is a digital image at 1800x1200 pixels and 600 dpi.

The PhotoLink One-Touch 5x7 Scanner weighs only one pound and measures 7.5 (W) x 1.75 (H) x 3 (D) inches. It is available now for $129.99.

Also new is the PhotoLink Personal Photo Scanner (PANSCN05). Similar to the PhotoLink One-Touch 5x7 Scanner, it works by placing a slide, 35mm negative or print photo (4x6 or smaller) into the device and pushing a button. The images can be scanned to a PC or memory card and transferred onto any digital photo frame, PC, or other device that reads memory cards. This scanner also comes with a 512MB SD card.

Images are scanned at 300 dpi, and slides or negatives at an ultra high-resolution of 1200 dpi. It features auto-feed, cropping tools, color balancing and film-type detection as well. The PhotoLink Personal Photo Scanner (PANSCN05) has an MSRP of $129.99 and is available exclusively on QVC through December 5, 2009.

"The new PhotoLink scanners give users the motivation to finally digitize the millions of negatives, slides and print photos they have to enjoy and share them now and with future generations," said Dean Finnegan, CEO and founder, Pandigital. "Since the PhotoLink scanners work with the touch of a single button, without expensive and confusing hardware, they allow customers to quickly and simply preserve images and enjoy memories that would have otherwise been filed away in a photo box, slide projector, or photo album."
