Samsung Intros Ultra-Slim LED Monitor

Samsung has added a new LED monitor to its SyncMaster line. The SyncMaster XL2370 will be available at Best Buy starting October 12th for $299. It will hit other retail stores in late November.

The XL2370 features an LED edge-lit backlight, 1080 HD resolution, a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and 2 millisecond response time. Movies can be seen in 16:9 widescreen formats without any distortion or stretching. And, not to take up too much space, the XL2370 measures just 3/4" at the top and weighs less than eight pounds.

The XL2370 is ENERGY STAR compliant, and is (partially) constructed out of post consumer materials.

XL2370 features:

• 1920x1080 resolution
• MEGA Dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1
• 16:9 Aspect Ratio
• 2ms response time
• Low power consumption at 26 watts
