Best Buy Offers CD Ripping Service
Best Buy has announced a new CD Conversion service provided by their Geek Squad employees. They'll rip your CD collection into MP3, FLAC, AAC, WAV, WMA, WMA-Lossless, or OGG formats, and return it to you (along with your CDs) on DVDs or a device of your choice. Geek Squad is charging $1 per CD for this service. Not a bad deal, considering how much time you'll save.
They also offer CD restoration, an online ripping calculator, and free FedEx shipping. Wondering when you'll receive your order? Check the status 24 hours a day simply by logging on to their website.

Best Buy Service
The best buy service is just Ripstyles. They process the CDs not GeekSquad. Went into a Best Buy and talked to a Geek Squad Tech and the didn't even know what I was talking about. Told them about the website and they were surprised. Didn't instill any sense of confidence.
CD Ripping Best Buy
Thanks for the post. Finally a year that I don't have to figure out a Christmas present for my parents. Do they also have record conversion? This is a great service offering.
I couldn't find any
I couldn't find any information on record conversion on the Geeksquad website. It would be a good service to offer!
Geek Squad CD Ripping
Best Buy is smart to have another company do this with them. In reading the website more clearly I am glad to know that the service is powered by experts who actually do this all the time. Looks like you can't drop off in-store but you have to do everything via web. Should be ok since I don't want to lug my CDs to a store and would rather have their courier pick it up and drop it off to my door.
