New Toshiba Qosmio X500 Multimedia Laptop
Toshiba just unveiled the Qosmio X500 Series, a line of laptops geared for high definition multimedia and gaming.
Qosmio X500 Series laptops feature the new Intel Core i7 processor, an 18.4-inch diagonal widescreen display, Windows 7 and Intel's Turbo Boost Technology. The laptops also offer DDR3 system memory, dual hard-drive configurations, and NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M graphics with 1GB of GDDR5 video memory. Select models will also be available with an integrated Blu-ray drive.
The sound system features built-in harman/kardon speakers, Dolby Home Theater audio and an integrated HDMI-CEC port. The full keyboard has LED Backlighting and a numeric 10-key pad. It also has an intuitive touchpad with multi-touch control, so you can browse and control what's happening on-screen with gesture-commands, such as two-finger pinch, swipe, rotate and scroll.
The Qosmio X500 Series will be available on October 22, 2009 at major retailers and at toshibadirect.com.
