Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner Coming in October
Epson just added a new mid-range photo scanner to its line-up – the Epson Perfection V600 Photo. Packed with features such as photo restoration tools and the ability to create enlargements up to 17" x 22", this flatbed scanner is priced at under $250.
The Perfection V600 scanner features 6400 x 9600 dpi resolution and can scan everything from receipts to photos and 3D objects. You can easily scan, copy, scan-to-e-mail and create PDFs using four push customizable buttons. The scanner also has ReadyScan LED technology for faster scan speeds with no warm-up time needed. This technology consumes less energy than traditional cold cathode fluorescent lamps and contains no mercury.
Do you have an old photo you need to restore? The Perfection V600 scanner can do the job. It uses patented DIGITAL ICE technology to remove the appearance of dust and scratches from film and the appearance of tears and creases from old photos. It also features Epson Easy Photo Fix technology to restore faded color photos and has a built-in transparency unit (TPU) for 35mm slides, negatives and medium-format panoramic film up to 6 x 22 cm.
The Perfection V600 scanner comes with Adobe PhotoShop Elements for photo editing and ABBYY Fine Reader Sprint Plus OCR for converting scanned documents into editable text. It will be available in mid-October for $249.99 at consumer electronics stores, photo specialty stores and on the Epson Store Web site www.epsonstore.com.
