Epson Unveils Four New 3LCD HD Projectors


 Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8100

Epson just announced four new 3LCD 1080p high-definition home theater projectors at CEDIA – the PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 and 8500 UB, and Pro Cinema 9100 and 9500 UB.

The Home Cinema 8100 is designed for home entertainment and AV enthusiasts with a budget in mind. Priced at just $1599, this projector has a contrast ratio of up to 36,000:1 (double that of previous models) and brightness of 1,800 lumens for beautiful image quality in either a dark or lighted room. The Epson Home Cinema 8100 will be available in late-October.


 Epson Home Cinema 8500 UB

The new Home Cinema 8500 UB features the latest D7 chip set, and adds Epson's C2Fine and UltraBlack technology for superb black levels. It has a contrast of up to 200,000:1, Epson's new Super-resolution technology, as well as a newly developed real color reproduction, and refined frame interpolation. The Home Cinema 8500 UB will be available in November. Pricing will be announced at that time.


 Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100

Stepping it up even further, designed for AV elitists, is the new Epson Pro Cinema 9100. It a features contrast of up to 36,000:1 and brightness of 1,800 lumens, as well as real color reproduction. With ISF calibration and color isolation, this projector offers a high-quality, customizable home entertainment experience. The Pro Cinema 9100 will be available in October for $2,599.


 Epson Pro Cinema 9500 UB

Last but certainly not least is the Pro Cinema 9500 UB. This projector is the ultimate 1080p package – it features a contrast of up to 200,000:1, Epson's Super-resolution technology, real color reproduction and refined frame interpolation for sharp, clear and vivid images. Plus, it adds anamorphic lens mode, ISF calibration, color isolation and pre-set color space selection. It will be available in November for around $4000.
