Casio Unveils New EXILIM Digital Cameras for Novice Users

 Casio EXILIM Zoom Z280

Casio announced today that they have added two more digital cameras to their EXILIM line, the EXILIM Zoom Z280 and EX-Z33. The folks over at Casio have certainly been busy…after all; the EX-Z450 and EX-Z90 were released only two weeks ago. The new EXILIM models are said to be aimed toward those new to digital photography.

The new 12.1 megapixel EXILIM Zoom EX-Z280 has a wide-angle 26 mm 4X optical zoom lens and comes with features such as CCD-shift image stabilization, Face Detection, and an Easy Mode that helps new digital camera owners by having a simplified menu screen. The camera also has Casio's Dynamic Photo feature which lets you add animated clip art to any picture by using only the camera (no additional software is needed). The pictures can then be printed, emailed or posted on social networking sites.

Other features include a Makeup function, Handheld Night Scene mode and Lighting function, as well as being able to take 720p HD Movies. A handy YouTube mode records video and saves it at the size and quality settings for YouTube….a great feature for novice camera owners! The EX-Z280 will be available in September 2009 with an MSRP of $179.99.

 Casio EXILIM EXILIM EX-Z33

The 10.1 megapixel EXILIM EX-Z33 digital camera features a 3X optical zoom lens and has a dedicated movie button so you can easily record widescreen movies with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Just like the Z280, this camera has an Easy Mode, YouTube video mode, and Face Detection function. The EX-Z33 is also compatible with commercially available SD memory cards such as the Eye-Fi wireless LAN card. The EX-Z33 will also be available in September with an MSRP of $119.99 in the following colors: black, light pink, vivid pink, silver and blue.
