Ford Plans AV-X10 Dearborn Doll Mustang GT for Auction at EAA
Last year's Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Gathering of Eagles festival saw a custom Mustang from Ford auctioned off at $500,000. This year, Ford plans to auction off another Mustang GT, dubbed the AV-X10 Dearborn Doll.
This 2010 Mustang GT will come equipped with a glass roof, and thanks to Ford Racing, it will produce a solid 550hp (410kW) from its 4.6L V8 engine. Under the hood is a supercharger kit, a high-flow FR500S exhaust system, a short throw shifter, a new handling pack featuring dampers and lowering springs and an anti-roll bar.
Ford's designers have created a nice aviation theme for the exterior of this Mustang, which pays homage to the WWII Mustang fighter planes. It will feature AV-X10 lettering, a Shelby GT500 lower rear fascia and rear wing and 19-inch forged alloy wheels finished in liquid silver with yellow propeller tips. The glass roof has also been treated to have an abstract translucent star and bars scheme, nice.
If you want this beauty, head to Wisconsin. It will be auctioned off at the 2009 EAA Air Venture Oshkosh fly-in convention which takes place between July 27th and August 2nd.
