Acer Intros New Display, Updates Desktops

Acer just announced a new display, the H235H, and a brand new design for its Acer Aspire M5, M3 and X3 Series desktops.

The new Acer H235H 23-inch widescreen LCD has a 16:9 aspect ratio for HD support, 1920x1080 resolution, fast 2ms response time, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 100,000:1 contrast ratio. The display also features SensorTouch technology where the LED illuminated controls replace the buttons that are standard on displays.

The H235H supports VGA and HDMI as well as DVI with HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) for viewing digital movies, digital photos, PC files and copy protected content. It also offers 160-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles.

The Acer H235H comes with two speakers and will be available in July for $239.99.

Desktops:

The Acer Aspire M5800 features Intel Core 2 Quad processors, up to 8GB memory and as much as a 750GB hard drive, and comes with NVIDIA GeForce GT230 graphics with 1.5GB video memory and high-definition audio with 7.1-channel surround sound support. Its silver chassis matches the keyboard, speakers and mouse, which also sport chrome and dark gray accents. The card reader, audio jacks and ports are located on the front of the chassis and are protected by a hinged door.

The Acer Aspire M5800-U5802A is available now for $799.99.

The Acer Aspire M3800 Series tower desktop features a handy media deck on top, which is convenient for recharging music players, digital cameras etc. It features an Intel Pentium Processor E5200 (2.5GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB), and has 4GB DDR3 SDRAM Memory, a 640GB SATA Hard Drive, DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti Double-Layer Drive Featuring LabelFlash, 8 USB 2.0 Ports (4 Front, 4 Rear), IEEE 1394 Port, HDMI Port.

The new Aspire X3810 is a small form factor (SFF) PC taking up less space than a standard desktop. For easy access, the chassis was designed with the card reader, audio jacks and ports located on the front of the PC with a cover to protect them from dust and damage. The system also has high-definition audio with 5.1-channel surround sound and nine USB 2.0 ports.
