Acer Announces its Own Android netbook
With the introduction of Android into Acer netbooks, customers will have yet another choice of operating systems to meet their mobile needs. The Android operating system will provide Acer netbook users with a faster connection to the Internet, further enhancing efficiency on-the-go.
Android is a free, open source, and fully customizable mobile platform, including an operating system, middleware, and key mobile applications. Third-party developers can customize and integrate Android applications, bringing true add-on value to benefit the customer.
I think Acer will do an excellent job in implementing Android into its netbooks and I can't wait to test one out! Expect to see Acer's first Aspire One netbook featuring Android during the Q3 of 2009.
