eMachines launching mini desktops that are stylish and BIG on saving money


 eMachines EL1300

eMachines announced, today, a new small form factor desktop PC with a matching monitor design. These desktops are designed to be user friendly, with low prices, easy access ports in the front and the option to add upgrades, like a wireless card or TV tuner. The EL1300 series desktops will feature a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon 2650e processor, NVIDIA's GeForce 6150SE integrated graphics card and a 160GB SATA HDD.

The new display will have 720p high-definition support and a 1366x768 resolution, along with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms response time. The E182Hwm display will also feature a VGA and VESA compatibility.

The $298 EL1300G-01w and the $398 EL1300G-02w, which includes a 20-inch widescreen LCD, will be available for purchase this month.

No Wireless on the cheep ones

Just note - lots of bang for the buck, great computer, but NO expansion PERIOD. And if you want wireless you will have to find a USB solution such as an aircard or USB wireless adapter....
