Blu-ray On-the-Go

At last weeks’ 2009 Consumer Electronics Show, Panasonic introduced the World’s first portable Blu-ray player. The DMP-B15 features a 9-inch WSVGA LCD screen with VIERA CAST internet accessibility and BD Live functionality. It also has an SD Memory Card slot so you can share photos and HD video you’ve recorded on your card.

Along with its three hour rechargeable battery, it can also be connected to an HDTV via HDMI cable to use as a standalone Blu-ray player. Hook it up to your AV receiver with a home theater speaker system for full surround sound.

For travelers, the DMP-B15 has an optional headrest mounting bracket for use in your car.

The DMP-B15 will be available in May. Pricing has not yet been announced.
