The movie ran way too long and didn't have enough scenes with Ledger in it. Maggie Gyllenhaal was totally mis-cast in her role. Tom Cruise wouldn't let Katie Holmes return to do Rachel. The absence of Holmes was a huge distraction throughout the movie. Without spoiling the end, I thought the whole film was rather depressing. About the only thing entertaining was Ledger too bad he never lived to see his own work.
