Award-Winning Sound from MartinLogan's "Feature"

MartinLogan Feature loudspeakerThe technology behind the electrostatic loudspeaker is amazing. When looking at the speaker in person, I still can’t believe these things produce sound, and they really do produce award-winning sound. The research and development coming out of Lawrence, Kansas can bring the best sound to your home theater. This new "Feature" loudspeaker is fully powered with an internal high-resolution 150 watt switching amplifier. What this means … you have flexibility in placing this speaker either on the wall, or off-wall in center, front or surround sound applications.

The MSRP on the new “Feature” Loudspeaker from MartinLogan is $1,695/each. When you make this investment, you will certainly be glad you did. I encourage you to seek this speaker out, and go listen to the depth of sound it produces.

Martin Logans are great speakers!

I have Martin Logan speakers, and everything the reviewer says about them is true. I had gone through several pairs of conventional cone speakers, including Boston Acoustics (which are very good speakers). But I was not completely satisfied with the sound. I wanted to get a truly exceptional pair of speakers that would keep me satisfied with their fidelity.

You could say I was looking for the last speaker I would ever buy. I think I have found it with the Martin Logans. I have auditioned some high end speakers, including Klipschhorns and the giant monstrosity put out by Carver about 30 years ago. The "best bang for the buck" on my budget turned out to be the Martin Logans.

I can't put into words how faithful these speakers reproduce sound. They are so lifelike they will fool you. I use them all the time, for serious listening to vinyl or CD's and for television also. Many times, I thought someone was in my living room talking, only to discover it was the television audio issuing out of the Martin Logans. Listening to a good audio source, you would swear there was a piano or a saxophone player right in your living room. They are THAT good. Nothing reproduces stringed or wind instruments or voices like these electrostatic hybrids.

They produce a huge soundstage and are very adept at creating a three-dimensional effect. With the right source material, you can easily discern where the various players are located on the "stage" in front of you. Low-level detail is captured quite well also. The only drawbacks to these speakers are they have a small "sweet spot" and they aren't as good with bass-heavy music such as hard rock. If you're a metal head you should probably go with JBL's or Cerwin Vegas. But if you like Jazz, Classical, Pop, or Classic Rock (and want to hear ALL the music) you can't go wrong with the Martin Logans. I highly recommend them.
