Small HDTV Pleases Aesthetics, Checkbook, and Government Mandate

Westinghouse W2613Upgrading to high definition (HD) is non-negotiable for sports fans, and tech experts, but some of the rest of us have put if off. While this may have been acceptable a few years ago, each passing day in this marketplace represents a better day to upgrade to HD than the last. The newest reason, Westinghouse’s 26” W2613 is no exception. Yes, the screen is small, but this also translates into less counter space; imagine what you can do with the extra space your boxy clunker used to occupy. Its smallness also means less out of your pocket; the new Westinghouse is under 500 dollars! Further, the W2613 is digital ready, meaning that you won’t have to do anything to continue receiving your signal after the government imposed deadline of February 19, 2009.

This small investment gives you High Definition broadcasting, extra counter space, and television service after February. This is a fantastic deal.

For those of you already hooked up with a large screen High Definition DTV, the 2613 is an excellent secondary television in a place like a kitchen or a bedroom, and it makes an excellent Christmas gift.

Small Investment gives you High Definition broadcasting

This brand new model from Westinghouse is a nice LCD and compares well to other mid-level brands. It has a very nice sharp HD picture once you dial it in,The NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuner in the Westinghouse seems to be pretty good. It found 25 analog and 29 digital channels .The remote is kinda cheap feeling, but it seems to do the job. There is only one HDMI, one composite, one SVHS, and one component input, as well as the analog/digital coax input to the tuner.A good value and especially for kids' rooms, dorms or other occasional use.
