Freelance writer and photographer Theano Nikitas is hooked on digital and spends much of her time checking out the latest digital imaging software and hardware products for magazines such as Photo Trade News, Digital Imaging, and Studio Photography & Design.
She's been photographing for more than 20 years and has developed a working knowledge of color and black & white photography. While she still loves the smell of hypo in the darkroom, Theano's been spending more and more of her time inputting and outputting images from her computer. With an interest in fine arts, crafts, as well as traditional photography, she's always looking for new and exciting ways to utilize digital imaging technology.

During the past nine years, she's published articles and photographs on kids' photo and digital products, alternative photo processes, underwater cameras/housings, scuba diving and travel. Theano also has worked as managing editor for The Absolute Sound, a high-end audio magazine, and a freelance photo editor for Aqua Quest Publications' dive travel series. She recently completed an assignment for a new Discovery Channel scuba diving adventure book.
