Photo Product of the Year: Canon Digital Elph


ELPH S100 There must be some magic in the word Elph. Several years ago Canon's tiny, stainless steel ELPH film camera single handedly salvaged the fledgling APS format, and now the new filmless version of the ELPH has done it again resurrecting Canon's mediocre consumer digital camera line.
The ELPH is not the best digital camera on the market (log on later this week as we hand out the rest of the BestStuff photo awards), but it's certainly the coolest. More important, and the reason it wins the Photo Product of the Year Award, is that we believe in a much broader sense the consumer interest created by the ELPH has made digital photography in general one of the hottest product categories of 2000.
