Resembling a cross between a traditional remote and a karaoke microphone, the Promptu Voice Controlled TV Remote allows users to navigate their cable TV channel/programming options by using voice commands and pushing a “talk” command button. In a world of 200+ digital cable channels the Promptu allows us to streamline the process of figuring out what we want to watch and the channel(s) we need to go to in order to find our favorite programs. A user can surf live TV by speaking the channel name, number, program name, genre, even by actor or sports team!

The Promptu also allows the user to access the thousands of hours of On Demand content available on digital cable systems. This unique system requires that the customer use two pieces of equipment: The Promptu Voice Link Receiver (a special cable box) and the voice remote. The entire system is “plug and play”, requiring no voice training whatsoever and has a high degree of voice recognition accuracy (supporting over 100,000 phrases and understanding unique accents along with multiple languages).
