Think Outside Inc. Announces availability of BoomtubeDecember 2005 Think Outside Inc., creator of the award-winning Stowaway Portable Mice and Keyboards for handheld devices, today announced the availability of the Boomtube H2O1, a stylish, lightweight portable speaker system offering superb sound. "The Boomtube H2O1 is the perfect accessory for iPod and music phone users who are looking for a portable speaker with really great sound. Until now, people had to choose between great sound and portability, because there just wasn't a product that successfully combined the two," said Greg van den Dries CEO and president of Think Outside. "The Boomtube H2O1 has over 40 watts of power, which until now has been unheard of in portable speakers. It also offers an integrated sub-woofer, detachable speakers for true stereo separation and an internal rechargeable lithium battery that lasts 5 hours. There really isn't anything quite like it on the market." The Boomtube H2O1 is based on a stylish, aluminum, tubular design and is the first portable speaker system to incorporate both a bass tube and twist-off speakers for true stereo separation. The Boomtube H2O1 features 2-inch aluminum speakers that reproduce sound at the mid- and high-ranges. In addition, Boomtube H2O1 combines two bass drivers with MaxBass technology for lower frequency bass reproduction. With a lithium rechargeable battery and a carrying case for portability, the whole system weighs just over three pounds. Also included is a 3.5 to 2.5mm adaptor that allows the product to work with music phones. "The Boomtube answers a gaping niche in portable music. The ability to pack up a nice portable speaker system was long overdue, and Think Outside seems to have done it in style," said Eric LoBue, Site Manager at AudioREVIEW, a leading web site dedicated to audio enthusiasts. "For its intended uses – traveling, beach days, camping, you name it – the Boomtube excels and should become a required accessory to complement your iPod. Music starved travelers should be stoked."
