March 23, 2005 – Mercedes-Benz USA and SIRIUS Satellite Radio today announced the availability of SIRIUS as a factory-installed option on the next-generation 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Sports Utility vehicle. The factory-installed SIRIUS option will be available beginning next month.

Mercedes-Benz also plans to offer SIRIUS as a factory-installed option on six additional 2006 model year vehicles later this year and four 2007 model year vehicles next year.

“Mercedes-Benz is very excited to offer SIRIUS on the all new M-Class, providing our customers with a quality entertainment experience in a brilliantly innovative vehicle,” said Michelle Cervantes, Vice-President of Marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA. “SIRIUS’ commercial-free music and wide variety of talk programming, combined with engineering from Mercedes-Benz, gives you the ultimate in SUV luxury.”

M-Class drivers will be able to enjoy 65 channels of digital-quality, commercial-free music, plus over 55 channels of news, traffic, weather, entertainment, and the best sports in satellite radio, including the NFL, NHL, NBA, English Premier League Soccer, and sports from over 120 top colleges around the country.

“When you drive a Mercedes-Benz, you are in a unique environment that provides the highest levels of performance and quality,” said Doug Wilsterman, Senior Vice President and General Manager OEM Division for SIRIUS. “SIRIUS complements this driving experience by enabling Mercedes-Benz customers to create their own entertainment world through the incredible variety, selection and choice of our satellite radio service.”

The SIRIUS factory-installed option on the M-Class will include a 6-month bundled subscription and is expected to have a manufacturers suggested retail price of $500.
