Sirius Introduces New Sportster Satellite Radio
August 2004- SIRIUS, the premium satellite radio provider known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and sports programming to cars and homes across the country, today introduced a new transportable “Plug & Play” SIRIUS satellite radio – called the Sportster – that is designed to complement SIRIUS’ relationship with the National Football League, and highlight the satellite radio broadcaster’s wide coverage of live NFL games.
The Sportster satellite radio is a unique product from SIRIUS that includes specialized features for the sports enthusiast. The Sportster not only receives over 120 channels of SIRIUS programming, including 100% commercial-free music, plus weather, traffic, news, entertainment and sports, but also features the following:
Game Alert
Prompts listener that their favorite NFL team is playing. S-Seek feature can prompt for additional team games.
Game Zone
Lists all of the games available and scores on SIRIUS by league (NFL, NHL, etc.)
The receiver also includes a special “Jump” button feature that can be programmed to instantly transfer you to any of your favorite channels, including traffic and weather reports, or to take you to a game channel when prompted.
