Sharp AQUOS Goes Wireless
Sharp’s new 15-inch LC-15-L1U is a wireless AQUOS television. It features a built-in battery which lasts up to 3 hours and a wireless digital audio video transmission system that operates on the 802.11B wireless standard. Simply connect the transmitter to a video source and the system will transmit digital wireless signals using the 2.4 GHz band high-speed spread spectrum wireless protocol. The unit also has a back channel so you can take it outside -- if you’re running a DVD inside your house, you can take the remote control from your DVD and actually control your DVD from outside on the deck, from the bedroom, from out by the pool, wherever you want. It goes to about 100 feet. It will be available in January of 2004 for $1799. www.sharpusa.com
