March 2005 -- Samsung takes multimedia to the next level with the introduction of its new SyncMaster 930mp display. The all-in-one SyncMaster 930mp is a high-end 19-inch LCD computer monitor, a full-featured stand-alone TV, and the first display on the market to include a built-in FM radio, giving consumers the ultimate multimedia display source.

The SyncMaster 930mp also features built-in Dolby speakers, and multiple video inputs including component, composite and S-Video, for direct hook up to a DVD player, camcorder, VCR, security camera or any video source. The SyncMaster 930mp functions as a high-performance LCD monitor as well as a full-featured TV. Offered in a stylish silver color, the monitor utilizes Samsung’s Patterned Vertical Alignment (PVA), the latest technology advancement in liquid crystal cell structure for improved viewing. The monitor features a super-high 1000:1 contrast ratio that is perfect for providing detailed onscreen images and offers a 178° viewing angle allowing for a pleasurable viewing experience for one or many users together. The 930mp gives users the option of using either a digital or analog interface for viewing images and text. The Digital Video Interface (DVI) ensures a shaper, cleaner image and a more accurate representation of the original video source. The natural state of a computer processor/video card and an LCD monitor is digital. The video card converts the digital data signal to an analog signal then the analog signal travels through the video cable and interfaces to the LCD. The LCD converts the analog signal to a digital signal in order to display the image. Because of these various technical conversions that take place, the image may be subject to data loss and may not portray a clean, clear and crisp image. With a digital input LCD monitor, the signal does not face this complex conversion process and provides the cleanest, most crisp image possible.
