ReQuest Multimedia Unveils Mega-Capacity ARQ-Tera Elite

ReQuest ARQ-TeraOctober 2002 – ReQuest Multimedia, industry leader in digital music servers and winner of Best New Audio Product at CEDIA Expo 2001, nearly won again with ARQ-Tera. ReQuest launched this new flagship product to its growing AudioReQuest family of music servers at CEDIA Expo 2002 in Minneapolis, MN.

“Many of our top dealers require mega-capacity to satisfy clients with substantial CD collections who want uncompromised quality,” said ReQuest’s Executive VP, Nick Carter. “ARQ-Tera is AudioReQuest for serious music lovers!”

With massive capacity, ReQuest’s ARQ-Tera models store up to 3,600 albums at full CD-quality, or more than 7000 albums at MP3-320KBps (near CD-quality). ARQ-Tera is equipped with ReQuest’s proprietary NetSync technology, which combines multi-source access to the collection with redundancy and multi-location capability that is critical to high-end projects. Netsync automatically synchronizes the entire music collection and playlists between ARQs over a network or the Internet to multiple locations, thus backing up the collection.

ReQuest’s Carter announced that distribution is limited to dealers who specify the highest level of systems. “ReQuest has many of the best dealers in the world doing the finest systems with the best equipment available. ARQ-Tera was designed at their request,” said Carter. “It’s incumbent upon ReQuest, as the industry leader, to provide the ultimate music server with the capacity and quality to satisfy discriminating clients and the dealers who serve them.”

“I’ve been speccing ARQ-Tera into projects for months,” says John Clancy, CTO of Audio Command Systems, a top rated custom installation firm in Westbury, NY. “This permits us to deliver a proven solution for our high-end projects with uncompromised sonic performance and backed by ReQuest’s stellar service and support," says Clancy. “I now use AudioReQuest in all my projects”.

The ARQ-Tera will be available through select dealers in December 2002.
