Philips Electronics new iPronto universal remote takes home control to a higher level by combining hardware and software in one easy-to-manage device. Using the light and portable iPronto, you can control home theater components, lighting, security cameras, home networks, climate control and other IR/RF/Ethernet home applications. The iPronto’s design allows for easy operation with a high-resolution touch screen LCD, exterior hard buttons and a customizable user interface providing you with the flexibility to control multiple windows of information with simple dashboard finger navigation.

Using the built in iPronto edit software, the touch screen can be configured to fit your level of expertise and comfort. You also have the ability to view information about your favorite television program, access the Internet to check news and email as well as utilize the multiple remote control functions with the iPronto Electronic Program Guide and Media Selection.

With wireless technology WiFi (IEEE 802.11b), iPronto can control devices out of the line of sight and has an always-on Internet connection by which new features and software can be sent to the unit by customer request.

The iPronto also features a built-in microphone and stereo speakers allowing you to listen to MP3s from the Internet and is future-proof for applications such as voice recognition and telephony. The iPronto has USB connectivity and a MMC/SD card slot for future applications and accessories. Battery powered, the iPronto includes a charger and a lithium ion battery.
