Lite-On Bows Two New DVD Recorders

At the recent PepCom Holiday Spectacular event in NYC, Lite-On introduced two new affordable DVD recorders due to hit retail outlets mid-November.

The affordable (and easy-to-use) LVC-9015 DVD/VCR Recorder combo unit features the company’s exclusive "All-Write" technology for writing to the most popular digital media formats and an integrated VCR for simple dubbing of VHS libraries directly to DVD.

For the first time in a DVD/VCR combo unit, users will be able to playback a VHS tape in Progressive Scan mode for sharper color rendition. This feature is ideal for users who still want the flexibility of viewing VHS tapes while enjoying the highest playback quality available in any DVD/VCR combo unit on the market.

Using Lite-On’s "All-Write" technology, the LVC-9015 is capable of recording to any DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW or CD-R/RW discs, reducing consumer confusion about which recordable media format to use. Once the DVD has been finalized, regardless of its format, playback will be possible in most DVD players available today.

The LVC-9015 also incorporates Lite-On’s "Easy Guider" menu system for easy DVD Recorder operations. By pressing the "Easy Guider" button on the unit’s remote control, users can quickly navigate through many of the system’s primary functions such as Play, Record and Dubbing from VHS to DVD. The step-by-step tutorial makes playing, recording and transferring video from one format to another effortless and hassle-free.

Other features include a built-in DV Link for quickly transferring digital video directly from the camcorder to DVD or VHS and a built-in VCR Plus + system to let users simply input a set of predefined digits found in the TV Guide magazine or newspaper TV listings to program the timer/record function.

The new LVC-9015 DVD /VCR Recorder combo will be available in November for only $199.
