GoVideo Introduces GoJr. DVD Player & Karaoke Machine for Kids

Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- GoVideo today introduced its latest video innovation, the GoJr. DJ530 Kid Friendly DVD Player and Karaoke Machine, its first ever DVD player designed specifically for children. The GoJr. top-loading DVD player features big, brightly colored function buttons on both the front panel and remote and comes with two colorful microphones and a free karaoke disc of children's songs. Now, younger children can really enjoy their favorite movies and sing-along music discs on their own special DVD player.

Innovative EZ Play and MyDVD Features Make GoJr. Easy and Fun To Operate
The new GoJr. DJ530 includes GoVideo's two greatest feature innovations for kids, EZ Play and MyDVD. Preset as the default on GoJr., the EZ Play feature automatically skips ads, trailers and menus, jumping right to the start of the movie. Little ones aren't confused by menus and trailers for movies, and parents don't have to skip through them manually. Your child can put in the disc, press the big green play key, and the movie starts.

GoVideo's My DVD feature also makes using this DVD player easier than any other both for kids and parents. It permanently stores the set-up preferences that on most other DVD players need to be checked or unchecked every time you load a new DVD. When activated, My DVD remembers your selections for audio, video, and playback settings and then automatically overrides any built-in defaults on the DVD. With My DVD and EZ Play, parents can be confident that their kids are having the best experience imaginable with no hassles. The built-in parental control further ensures that adults are still in charge of what their kids are watching, even while unsupervised.

The GoJr. plays all of today's popular DVD and CD formats, including DVD video, audio CD, picture CD, karaoke CDG, MP3 and JPEG on CD-R/W, and more. Kids can listen to music, play movies, and even view digital pictures. The matching primary function-specific remote control contains simplified, big color-coded buttons, with a small carrying handle, perfect for kids.

DVDs and CDs are inserted into the player using GoJr.'s simple-to-use top loading tray, for easy access and cleaning. The no-slip rubber feet hold GoJr. securely in place. Composite as well as S-Video outputs on the back panel allow for easy connection to the television.

The GoJr. Kid Friendly DVD Player is recommended for children ages 3 and up, carries an MSRP of $79.99, and is available this month at Radio Shack stores nationwide, Fry's Electronics, PC Richard's, and popular online retailers. The GoJr. will be rolling out to Target stores nationwide in early 2004.
