Fujitsu Introduces the Ultimate-Quality LCD Home Theater Projector
October 2004— Fujitsu, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-resolution video display devices, re-enters the front-projection market with its new LPF-D711 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Front Projector. The LPF-D711 is an ultimate-quality home theater display device that utilizes Fujitsu's patented new Advanced Video Movement II (AVM-II) digital video processor and features a true high definition LCD with 1920 X 1080 resolution. The projector also features a separate supplied Selector Unit (model LPF-QSD1WB), which houses the projector's powerful array of connectivity options, including HDMI, DVI-D and more, making the system easy to install and access for custom home theater applications.
“Fujitsu is committed to leadership in all areas of high-performance home entertainment display technology,” noted Tedd Rozylowicz, president, Fujitsu General America. “To this end, we have determined that in addition to our industry-leading Plasmavision product line, we can now leverage our expertise in video processing for display by incorporating the new AVM-II processor into this projector to deliver home theater enthusiasts another option for Fujitsu-quality home entertainment.”
Superior Image Quality, Brightness and Color
The LPF-D711 is a 16:9 high definition projector that employs three 1.3-inch 1920 x 1080-pixel LCD panels—one each for red, green and blue—operating in conjunction with a polysilicon TFT active matrix drive system and precision micro lens array for exceptional resolution and sharpness. The projector features a 3300:1 contrast ratio, and boasts 1200 ANSI Lumens brightness. The advanced 3-color TFT Shutter provides maximum color purity and detail, with an astounding 16.77 million-color palette.
The LPF-D711 features HDMI and DVI-D and is compatible with most NTSC, PAL and SECAM formats, in addition to offering a full array of video and audio inputs and outputs, including multiple component video, S-video, composite video, digital and analog RGB inputs and an RS-232 control port.
The Fujitsu LPF-D711 offers a host of additional remote controllable performance and convenience features, such as power zoom and power focus, along with two keystone error correction methods: powered lens shift as well as digital image shift. The LPF-D711 can project a super-bright, detailed image even in brightly-lit rooms, from 36 inches to 25 feet (diagonal measurement) for spectacular big-screen impact in home theater installations.
The Fujitsu LPF-D711 LCD Front Projector carries a three-year warranty on the life of the projector, and a 2,000-hour warranty on the life of the bulb. The Fujitsu LPF-D711 will be available in late October at a suggested retail price of $25,000.
