Filter with Furman's Power Factor
We filter our water - and make sure everything else in our lives is clean - right? Then why not filter the electricity we use everyday? If you have high-end electronics in your home or business you already know what I'm talking about, because you most likely have all of your entertainment system plugged into a Furman. The good installers will almost always recommend you plug all of your components into a power conditioner of sorts. If you do not filter the power coming into your home for your expensive electronics then you need to learn more about the Furman products available. Furman has been developing products for the most demanding audiophiles for more than 30 years.
I was skeptical at first when I installed the Furman Elite-15 PF AC power conditioner into my home entertainment suite (42" Plasma, DVD, TiVo, Dual DVR Cable box, Tuner/Amplifier with surround sound). It is not by any means the best entertainment system available, but it is nicer than most. I did not notice immediately the effects of the Furman, and so just went on about my daily TV habits. But after watching a couple of movies I began to notice clarity in not only sound, but also screen quality; the blacks on the plasma appeared to be darker. In a word, I would say everything was "crisp."
My television used to emit a large amount of heat, and after a couple of weeks it was not as hot with prolonged use of the Furman. Even the sound of the fans on the TiVo and cable box did not sound as loud as they once did. Furman has maximized the effectiveness of the equipment I own and use. The folks at Furman know an amplifier needs power in a moment's notice, and their power conditioners have at least 3 amps, and 45 amps of peak charge sitting in reserve at all times. What does this mean to you? Your music and movies will be delivered they way they were intended.
What I learned from reviewing this product is that I now have to go and buy a Furman Elite-15 PF AC power conditioner. I now know that the power coming into my home is not conditioned for everything I have plugged into the outlets throughout the house. Sure, a surge protector will prevent my computer from blowing up when lightning strikes, but will it give me what I want from my home entertainment system? Nope. Go to www.furmansound.com and see what power conditioner you need, or to find the dealer in your area who can tell you.
