DTS Entertainment Releases More Surround Music Titles

October 8, 2003 -- DTS Entertainment (DTSE) today announced its next three North American releases in the DVD-Audio format: Megadeth - Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?, Everclear - So Much For The Afterglow, and Medeski, Martin and Wood - Uninvisible.

Over the past two years, DTS Entertainment has garnered considerable industry recognition for DVD-Audio production excellence. Most recently, the DTSE DVD-Audio surround re-mix of Queen's The Game, was awarded two prestigious honors: the 2003 Best DVD-Audio Disc (DVD Awards) and the 2003 DVD-Audio Excellence Award (DVD Association.) The DTSE DVD-A release of Queen, A Night At The Opera, also received both of these awards in 2002.

"The DVD-Audio format continues to blossom as a value-added upgrade over the standard compact disc," explained David DelGrosso, Vice President of Marketing for DTS Entertainment. "These three new surround re-mixes will help magnify the intrinsic value of DVD-Audio for contemporary music genres that are just beginning to discover this fast-rising technology wave."

Following is the current release schedule of the new titles:

10/14/03 Megadeth - Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? (DVD-Audio) This feature-loaded DVD-Audio disc offers Megadeth fans some phenomenal surround re-mixes, plus plenty of exciting extras: music videos in DTS 96/24 Digital Surround, on-screen lyrics, a photo gallery, Web links, a band member biography, and an interactive selection of "play-along" versions of "Devil's Island." An exclusive new interview reel with Dave Mustaine and other band members is also included.

11/04/03 Everclear - So Much For The Afterglow (DVD-Audio) A more elaborate follow-up album to Sparkle And Fade, there are several songs on So Much For The Afterglow that showcase Everclear's recent evolution. These exclusive new surround sound re-mixes fuel the power and emotion of this Portland power trio into a whole new experimental direction. The popular music videos for "Everything to Everyone" and "Father of Mine" are included on this DVD-A, and dramatically come alive when experienced in 6.1 Extended Surround.

11/04/03 Medeski Martin and Wood - Uninvisible (DVD-Audio) Medeski Martin and Wood continue to effortlessly straddle the line between avant-garde improvisation and accessible groove-based jazz. Since their emergence out of the downtown NY scene in the early '90s, they have steadily garnered a reputation as relentlessly innovative musicians that also cross over into an enormously popular act. This DTSE 6.1 Extended Surround re-mix will place this essential statement of modern improvisational music into the forefront of many new music collections.
